Getting started!

Where do I begin....
It all started on a very gloomy day...

I like lists, I like to make them but even more so I like to cross them off, and when I became a mother, I didn't realize HOW important making those lists and crossing them off REALLY was.  In fact I found myself starting a task forgetting about it and then starting another one quite regularly.

I believe it's true what they say, once you have a child you loose a portion of your mind, (my grandmother said 10% in fact). But for me that part I lost was "the ability to remember what I need to get done that day". My husband even pointed out that my catchphrase for the day was always "oh I forgot!". Sound familiar? I hope so, I hope I am not the only mother out there with this problem!

Anyway, back to my very gloomy day. Needless to say I was trying to wrap my brain around all that I needed to accomplish so that when my son woke from his nap we could be on our way to getting stuff done with out forgetting anything.

This is where calamity struck. I don't know if it was the hormones or what, but when I sat down with all the little lists I had made for this, and that, I became extremely overwhelmed, and the floods came.

In that moment of despair, a light came on in my head. A planner! You need a planner, one like you had in school that you can track all these different aspects of your life!

That was it! So when my darling babe woke from his nap, I strapped him in his seat and headed off to the nearest store.

I giddily scurried over to the office supply section with even an extra skip to my step.

I traced my fingers over the beautiful bindings and soft covers. I flipped through one that caught my eye.
"hmm. Daily schedule with military time? and a world map? Probably not."

...so I picked up another one. "This one doesn't start for another two months, which doesn't fix my problem today."

And then another, and another. And after looking though all of the planners, and about an hour and a half later... nothing. There was absolutely nothing that would work for me. Was a to do list, daily planner, and a grocery shopping list really too much to ask for? I guess so.

At this point, my pretty patient baby, had decided he was done. So I grabbed a decent looking notebook and decide to make due.

Discouraged was an understatement. On the way home from the store yet another thought hit me, like lightening just make one Amy? You have all the skills required and most of the equipment.

So I went to work and made myself a very organized planner for all the areas of my life! I loved it so much, and I felt like all my stars had finally come back from vacation, and aligned themselves once again.

I hope you find what you are looking for with my product, and that by using this the sun shines through your gloomy days!

Happy Planning!
